 La popolazione del paese fino al 1950 è stata in continuo aumento.
Comincia a diminuire gradatamente, come si vedrà più appresso parlando dell'emigrazione, dal  950 fino ad arri­vare oggi ai minimi termini, né si prevede un aumento.
E diminuita la natalità e numerose sono le persone dai 60 anni in su.
Dai registri della Parrocchia del capoluogo si evince il seguente movimento demografico (le cifre riguardano tutto il Comune).
